Influenced by gospel, pop, rock and country five-time contemporary jazz Grammy nominee, Norman Evans, brings elements of each into his own work. Norman is a one-man music machine, effortlessly toggles between the saxophone & keyboard providing a satiable mix of R.B and smooth jazz interpretations.
Norman engages his audience and makes them a primary active part of his performances. He is a performer committed to his community, bringing not only music performance but has established The Journey Foundation, which assists families of students who are struggling financially and in need of food. Norman believes that no child should ever go hungry simply because they do not have money and assures that students have good solid, nutritional meals through his foundation. “We are very grateful to Mr. Evans and The Journey Foundation for sharing their gift of music to help our children.” Dr. Kevin M. Spyro Gyra, (the late) George Howard, Pieces of a Dream, and Miles Jaye,
Norman has also headlined at events such as: New Haven Jazz Festival, Miller
Lite Summer Concert Festivals, Molson Beer Festivals, American
Express Taste of the Nation just to name a few. His
music awes and inspires. This is not another false hype offering, “Norman”
is the genuine article. To really appreciate what Norman Evans is all
about; you have to see his live performance. Norman
is disciplined, motivated, and determined; when these elements are combined with
his creative, talented mind, you have the making of a true artist. His
